Hello and welcome,
I understand your concern.
The common cause of bleeding after sex is trauma. So a possibility of a tear is there. But tears usually cause bleeding immediately after the episode. You had a delayed bleeding so it may be due to trauma or other causes like and early period [ please mention the date of your last period if possible], tumors of the
cervix like polyps and inflammations of the cervix.
Sometimes the cause may be unrelated to sex and the bleeding after sex may be a co incidence. In these cases other reasons may be non cancerous uterine tumors called fibroids,
hormonal imbalances and ovarian lesions and also
pregnancy and abortions.
So please check the date of your last period so as to correlate things. If this is unlikely to be a bleeding due to periods, I suggest that you see your doctor and get examined. Please do not worry as all the causes mentioned above are common and easily treatable.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
