What Causes Bleeding After Having Cystoscopy For Bladder Cancer?
My mother has had a prelim diagnosis of bladder cancer. She is 91. Last week she had a cycstoscopy through the urethra adn was released after her blood was clear. However the blood has returned and she is very worried. Could this mean that the lesion was not totally removed or that the cancer has invaded the muscle tissue?
Persistent bleedind after cystoscopic removal of bladder tumor is indicative of poor hemostasis during the procedure and not the persistance of tumor. You need not worry and consult your urologists.
