on 28 October I was physically connected with my girl friend. her age is 17. the protection i used failed and my sperm went inside. after 2 hours she took UNWANTED-72, but from 2nd November bleeding started (dark black), now i request you to say, what to do now.
As she has taken the emergency contraceptive pill within 2 hours of the intercourse, the possibility of pregnancy is less. The bleeding, she got could be withdrawal bleeding due to the effect of emergency contraceptive pill. Because of the high dose of hormones in the pill, after a few days of intake withdrawal effect can be seen on the endometrium and the bleeding can occur.
Hence, at present no specific treatment is needed. Dark colored blood usually indicates the collected blood in the uterus and no need to worry about it. The points to be remembered are taking the high dose of hormonal pills in teenage is not recommended and there should be at least 2 month gap between two emergency contraceptive pills.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
