OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question. Pain in left side Of abdomen can be due to urinary tract infection or may have any abdominal cause unrelated to pregnancy. Recurrent bleeding in pregnancy can be due to lower location of placenta or repeated placental bleeding or bleeding from any local lesion on the cervix or vagina.
I suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist so that your wife can be properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
If no cause of bleeding is found, then your doctor may give you progesterone injections or capsules to support the pregnancy.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
