Hi there, i have just had 2 cauterisations and packing within 3 days of each other and was hospitalised due to the bleeds lasting a total of 12 hours. It has been a week now and i have had 3 more small bleeds within this time, is this normal? Also my blood pressure is higher than normal, my blood tests show I m not aneamic but they are not normal. I have made an appointment to see my doctor next week at his request and as you can imagine i am worrying. I am female and 54 yrs old.. Many thanks Sue
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. I will be able to comment better if you can furnish details like the history of erosion or the cause that needed the cautery because simple bleeding is uncommon in this age ; also I would like to know if you have attained menopause. Since you have recurrent bleeding episodes, apart from a detailed study of the cervix, coagulation profile also should be done. Whatever the cause is, you need not worry because there are treatments available for almost every cause today. Rest assured and please go ahead with your appointment. Wish you good health.
