What Causes Bleeding And Menstrual Cramps During Pregnancy?

hi my partner is 25 and 4-5 weeks pregnant, she keeps bleeding and complains of "mild period cramps" she has also been increasingly tired.

would like to know that this is normal and not to raise alarm bells.

I understand your concern.
Bleeding any time in pregnancy is not normal & needs immediate
attainsion.
Your friend is just 4-5 weeks pregnant with bleeding associated with cramps.. this is suggestive of abortion ( threatened/ incomplete/ impending ). She needs a gynecologist's advise & USG scanning to pin point the cause , followed by specific management.
Thretened abortion can be managed well( provided the embryo is unaffected )& other two conditions demand evacuation.. which will prevent further complications like infection/ excessive blood loss.)
