What Causes Bleeding And Tiny Hole In LSCS Stitches?
I had LSCS 43 days before. 2 days before i saw blood and guess some pus under my stitch on right side. Blood was not coming from stitches but there was a very tiny hole under two stitches. My gyn treated it with betadine ointment. I had two dressings on alternate days and according to them its healing also. Pls tell me about it in detail.
Please do not worry. This is not uncommon and looks like a delayed wound infection.
There are many reasons for this. If the hole is tiny and it is healing then there should not be any issues.
Just take care to keep the area clean, change your clothes daily, keep the area dry and open to air once the hole seals. Try not to use any undergarment for a few days if possible as it rubs on the wound and so may delay complete healing.
Maintain a proper diet including fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins in the form of egg whites and fish [ if non vegetarian] and sprouts if vegetarian. Use of vitamin C also promotes healing.
Please do not worry. This is a common issue and since it is already healing there must not be any worries. Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
