What Causes Bleeding Between Periods?

I am bleeding only when I wipe and its a brighter red blood and very light and only occurs for a few hours for the last couple days I just got off of my period which was off and on but that s normal for me and my boyfriend and I had sex a little over a week ago! what is it am I pregnant? Or did I tear something?

Hello,
If you had the intercourse soon after the period ended, and if you have regular 28-30 day cycles, it is not pregnancy. You were still in the safe period then. Local causes like erosions, infections of the vagina and the cervix and polyps should be excluded. If, on the other hand, you had intercourse during the fertile period, this sort of menstrual disturbance calls for a pregnancy test. You can either get a HPT or go for an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres, which is the ideal method in the current scenario. Hope this helps.
