What Causes Bleeding During Intercourse?

Hi I m Shirley. How are you doing? Hope great! I have got this bleeding for a while, whenever I eat pepper, drink wine it appears as if my period is starting all over again.During intercourse I get so embarrassed because of this. My doctor said I had some wounds on the walls of my uterus. I did all kinds of tests afterwards she prescribed canestern which healed the wound, however some months later I bled during intercourse.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
When vaginal infections are the cause of bleeding during intercourse, prolonged treatment with prophylaxis for 3-6 months is necessary. The sexual partner also needs to be treated and abstinence is to be maintained until the symptoms subside. Though this process seems tedious, this is a worthy one. Along with this, please try to maintain proper genital hygiene. Avoid using tampons and switch to sanitary pads. Do not douche or use strong soap solutions. Hope this helps.
