I have noticed a small amount of blood on q-tip when cleaning ears this week. Today that area felt a little painful so I went to UrgiCare. They told me that I had a lesion in ear canal that was slightly bleeding. And she said the lesion was a small bump and was same color as surrounding tissue. Told me to schedule an appointment with Ear/Nose/Throat doctor. First appointment I could get is Monday. So I am looking now to see if it may be serious (like cancerous) or if it is something simple.
Bleeding in the ears are caused due to rupture of the ear canal skin (0.01mm thickness), which you have to be very careful while cleaning the ears. I advise you to consult an ENT immediately for treatment.
All the best.
