I have a periods problem my date is 27th november its come on exact date then in december it come on 27 but itsnot stopping bleeding .. I go to doctor then i took norethisterone .. After taking this my periods stop i took for 3 days 3 time .. Then again i started bleeding . I dont know what happening i m really tenesd
Norethisterone is a synthetic progestin.As long as progestin is present in the body,bleeding does not occur.When it is stopped,bleeding occurs which is called as withdrawal bleeding.It is normal.One should worry only when the bleeding is excess for more than a week or with clots.
Kindly continue the drug course without stopping inbetween as per your doctor's prescription.The cycles will regularise in the next few months.
