Hi

Norethisterone is a synthetic progestin. As long as progestin is present in the body, bleeding does not occur. When it is stopped, bleeding occurs which is called as withdrawal bleeding. It is normal. One should worry only when the bleeding is excess for more than a week or with clots.

Kindly continue the drug course without stopping inbetween as per your doctor's prescription. The cycles will regularise in the next few months.

Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.
