i had this weird feeling like something was in my ear, so i went to the restroom and grabed a q tip. i placed it deep in my left ear and felt a sharp sting, once i removed the q tip the cotton was soaked in blood. i have never had an ear bleed before, what caused it?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of bleeding in ear which seems to be due to excessive fluid accumulation, Eustachian tube dysfunction, fungal infection, wax buildup, and systemic disease infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You should take steam twice a day and apply warm dry compresses to external ear. Avoid touching or pricking ear with sharp object. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may examine by otoscopic means to check level of infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin at least for a week along with decongestants. Put Otogesic ear drops. You should go for audiometer testing as well to check hearing level.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
