What Causes Bleeding In The Mouth And Sore Nose Tip?

Could I have vestibular furunculosis. Just now the tip of my nose is very red and sore to touch. For a while now when I wake there is blood on my pillow which I think has come from my mouth. I have to wear a gum shield and usually there is blood in it in the morning. When I brush my teeth and spitting out there is blood too. I dont have tooth problems or bleeding gums. Any advice would be gratefully received

Welcome in H.C.M.

I read your mail carefully and after co-relating all symptoms it appears as you may be having vestibulitis nose. Since vestibule is anterior part of nasal cavity therefore it looks very unlikely to get blood in mouth due to furunculosis or vestibulitis of nose. There are few other reasons for gum bleeding like-

1- Vitamin C deficiency.

2- Gingivitis.

3- Thrombocytopenia.

As far as soreness over tip of nose and swelling is concerned it is due to vestibular infection may be furunculosis.

Keeping all above in mind it becomes necessary to get examined by an ENT doctor to rule out above possibilities.
