What Causes Bleeding Mid Cycle After Intercourse?

My period ended last week. It came regularly. But last night I had brown discharge, and tonight I had sex, went to the bathroom and it looked like a string of blood came out. Why am I bleeding again? I m 19, sexually active, and have had regular periods. This Never happened to me before. Help?

Hi,

Do you use protection? You need hCG and USG to rule out severity, if any. Or it can be simple trauma. If you have itching or discharge, it can be an infection which needs microscopic examination too. CBC can be done to check hemoglobin levels. Do breathing exercises. It reduces stress related to menses problems which can also be a cause. Eat fruits, veggies, antioxidants, multivitamins etc., for blood loss.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
