Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Bleeding Nose Post Root Canal Treatment?
I had a root canal to my upper right tooth, second from the canine. During the procedure I had specific, sharp pain in my upper right sinus and eye socket. Last night I bled from my right nostril, losing about 1/8 cup very fast, then it stopped very quickly. I continue to have sharp pain in the upper right side of my nose and inner eye socket. Is this something to be concerned about?
Bleeding from nostril is not related to root canal treatment. During root canal treatment chanses of bleeding from your root canal is common due to inflammation of pulp.
You don't mention a condition why you do RCT?????sometime incomplete root canal treatment in periapical abcess case that can lead to pain and sweling problem. That pain around tooth region and may speed to surrounding area.
You have to do one Orthopentogram (OPG).That helpful for further diagnosis.
Wish you a good health. Take care. Thanks.
