What Causes Bleeding With Mucus After Unprotected Sex While On Cerazzete?
I regularly took the pill Cerazette (75mg desogestrel) and I finished the first box yesterday (no missing pills no sickness). 2 days ago I had unprotected sex. Today I found on my underwear a thick amount of blood red mucus. I had in the previous days some spotting. Am I protected from pregnancy? This doesn t mean I am ovulating, doesn t it? Thank you.
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and here are the answers. 1. As you are regular with your hormone contraception, you are well protected. 2. This bloody discharge is likely to be the withdrawal bleeding and not due to ovulation. 3. Any unprotected intercourse towards the end of the cycle is safe. In the natural cycle, ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period. Please see your health care provider for further information. Take care.
