Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I have read the query which needs further elaboration as to what is your child's age,the cough is dry or productive,is there any fever, etc.?But still, considering the other symptoms the blisters on the back of the throat are most likely due to
pharyngitis due to an Upper
respiratory tract infection. He must be having nausea and difficulty in swallowing due to the infection.
I advice you to follow certain measures to which will help reduce the symptoms:
1. Give him warm water to drink and do gargling by mixing warm water with salt 3-4 times a day ,if throat pain persists you can buy tantum gargles(combination of antiseptic and
anesthetic)/ betadine gargles.
2. Avoid giving him unhealthy, oily and cold foodstuffs.
3. Eating well to avoid feeling weak and to improve your immunity.
4. Antibiotics like syrup
Augmentin DUO will help in reduction of infection along with anti emetic like tab.Emset to decrease the nausea but the dose will depend on his age.
5.If the symptoms persist after a week I suggest you get your child examined from an
ENT specialist for the exact location and the cause for blisters.
Hope this answers the query.
Feel free to ask any further doubts.
