What Causes Blisters On The Penis Of A Child?

MY SON IS 5 WEEKS OLD. HE WAS CIRCUMSIZED AT ONE WEEK OLD THE DOCTOR TOLD US ITS BETS TO GET THE RING, SO WE DID. HE DEVELOPED A BLISTER ON HIS PENIS WE TOOK HIM IN FOR IT TO THE ER AND OUR PEDIATRICIAN HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. IT WENT AWAY. 4 WEEKS LATER NOW HE HAS MORE OF THEM. WHAT COULD IT POSSIABLY BE? NO ONE SEEMS TO HAVE ANSWERS THERE MUST BE AN ANSWER FOR WHAT IS CAUSING THIS.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Is there any itching (irritability / disturbed sleep)? Any discolouration of surrounding skin? Does the blister contain clear fluid or yellow pus? Blisters may suggest allergic reaction to something, but you need to get it pysically examined with your doctor for an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
