What Causes Bloated Stomach?

I m dieting. I ate an apple on an empty stomach at 6:00 AM, and everything was fine. At 8:30 AM I ate 2 ounces of Jenno s turkey breast. Within 10 minutes, my stomach became bloated and cramped. Did the apple NOT digest before I ate the turkey? I was told to eat fruit on an empty stomach, wait 2 hours and eat again.
