What Causes Bloating After A Colon Check Procedure?
Hi, I was 59 years old when i went for my first colon check. i was blotting 2 days after my procedure. it was on a weekend. couldnt get in touch with the doctor that performed it. On Monday i was sent for a MRI. this was by my internal med Dr. I spent 3 days in the hospital, in so much pain. Finally, I was able to pass gas and have bowel movement. after 3 years im anemic and noone can figure out whats wrong with me. my blood count is 7.4 but cannot have a tranfusion unless its under 7. i dont understand, we are missing something. I have had another colon procedure removed other polps and an upper gi. Im so scared my heart has to work so hard because of my low blood count. I am 61 years old now. My weight is is going off the chart. I weigh 164 now. i have never been that over weight in my life. When I have a bowel movement it stinks like when my babies had colic
Hi. Thanks for your query. Note the history of first colon check when you were 59 and was bloated for 2 days after procedure, MRI was done, was admitted in the hospital for about 3 days, finally was able to pass gases and Bowel movements. You are anemic after 3 years, hemoglobin being 7.4 and you will not be given blood transfusion unless this is below 7. I would advise you the following: I think you should see a hematologist and undergo the relevant tests may be including bone marrow biopsy, electrophoresis and so on. Also the stool tests on 3 consecutive days and get appropriate treatment. I think you should also get the blood tests of vitamins and particularly D and get corrected as this is very important for the integrity of mucosa of the intestines allowing it to absorb iron and all the other nutrients and get them concerted to the bodily necessities.
