What Causes Bloating And Pain Behind Shoulder Blade?
I am a 42 yr old female. i have had the feeling of food getting stuck in my throat for around a month. I now feel pressure in my chest and discomfort there too. I sometimes feel like there is a lump in my throat which seems to move from very high up just below my tonsils to quite low behind my sternum. Now when i eat i feel bloated and uncomfortable for hours after and have some slight pain behind my shoulder blade. I have been taking Lansoprizole and metaclopromide and am waiting for a thrat scan and a scope in my throat in a couple of weeks time. Im extreamely worried and stressed about what it could be. Any ideas? PS also seem to have put on weight recently without much reason.
Dyspagia may be several causes like mechanical obstruction or even functional causes Only a upper GI scopy will tell you the diagnosis because in case they find any lump it can be biopsied . Since your forty plus and having GI symptoms please also rule out a gall bladder stone. weight gain may be due to a different reason which also needs to be evaluated . Meanwhile chew your food nicely and use pureed food and avoid fatty and i oily foods till your test resuts are back
