Many women complain of
bloating a few weeks before periods. This is because of the
hormonal changes, the
progesterone level falls about a week before the periods. If you have unprotected sex, the
Prostaglandins present in the semen can cause bloating.
To stay comfortable -
1. Avoid taking salty food or restrict your salt intake, the salt intake will trigger water retention & cause swelling & bloating.
2. Take food rich in calcium or
magnesium or its supplements.
3. Take food rich in potassium, banana, apricots, oranges, raisins, dry fruits, etc.
4. Take natural diuretics like Ginger, caffeine, cucumber, parsley, etc.
5. Keep yourself well hydrated & exercise regularly.
6. Avoid oily food.
