What Causes Bloating, Fatigue And Missed Periods While HPT Is Negative?
I have had bloating, fatigue, nausea, and headaches quite a bit lately. And cramps like I m going to start my cycle but havent. So far I have missed 2 cycles but I have taken 5 home pregnancy tests and all were negative except one had a very faint plus sign which was the first one that I took. Could it be possible that I am pregnant but the test didn t detect it?
I can understand your concern. If you feel that home pregnancy tests are giving faint or confusing results, you can take the test after 3-5 days or can go for a blood test for pregnancy which is faster and gives more sensitive result for pregnancy confirmation.
If that comes negative, you can have other reason for missed periods and not pregnancy like polycystic ovaries, thyroid dysfunction, premature ovarian follicle failure or infection of the ovaries or uterus. In that case, you should visit a gynecologist for physical examination and further investigations like blood tests to assess hormone levels in your blood and ultrasound to see the stage of ovulation and examine uterus and ovaries. The treatment can be employed after test results and diagnosis.
