What Causes Blockage Feeling In The Ear While On Citalopram?
I take 20mg of Citalopram a day for nearly two months now. My left ear feels like it s blocked. My hearing seems okay, but my ear feels as if I have water in it, which I don t. My ears don t seem to have wax build up either. I found that one of the side effects I m experiencing is minor fatigue and a lot of yawning. My ear feels like it does when you yawn and your ear almost pops, so to speak. Is this a side effect as well? I do not experience any ringing in my ears.
Nothing to worry. Eustatian tube dysfunction usually presents with this symptoms. Rgegular valsalva , nasal decongestant and anti inflammatory drugs like cetrizine usually sufficient for this. If problem persist after this then do a eustatian tube function(or at least tympanometry) test to estabilist the pathology and consult an ent surgeon.
