I am 73 years young and now have fluid in my left ear. Ears were cleaned, so I do not have any wax. I am on a nasal spray twice a day. Ear is improving slowly. Is there any meds I can take to get rid of the fluid. some of it has gone away. Ear feels somewhat better, but I am not out of the woods as yet.
hello, thanks for your query, fluid behind the intact ear drum could be due to sinusitis or allergic rhinitis or some lung infection causing couse.. you need to take mucolytics, antibiotics and nasal drops.you can start steam inhalation and valsalva manoevere(watch you tube for this manovere). hope i have answered your query.all the best. take care.
I loved it that you are 73 year young, hoping I should be the same at your age. Regarding your ear as you are saying you are on Nasal spray and improving, then don't add any medicine, it will go definitely, yes, but slowly. You should take steam at least twice daily before going to bed and after breakfast, that will definitely fasten the recovery.
