What Causes Blocked Nose With Hard Mucus?

I have a really big clump of snot or mucus stuck up in my right nostrel and its making it hard to breathe. No matter how much i blow it wont come out. And ive tried sinus medicine. Some of it is yellow and some is white when some does come out. What could be causing it and how do i get it out?? Please help its been like this for a while now

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain big clump of smot or mucous struck in nose that does not come out is exactly nasal congestion and can be due to causes like Upper Respiratory Tract Infection or common cold, Sinusitis, Nasal Polyp etc.
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and if needed he can also advise you investigations like Nasal endoscopy, PNS view x Ray of sinuses or MRI SCAN to confirm the diagnosis..
In case of Sinusitis you can be advised to take a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestant, steam inhalation, saline nasal irrigation, and decongestant nasal spray..
For Common Cold anti allergics and decongestant along with steam inhalation can help..
For nasal polyps Steroid nasal spray, Steroid injection or surgical removal can be advised..
