What Causes Blood After Trying To Hold Bowel Movement With Internal Hemorrhoids History?
I have just seen a little bit of blood in my boxer shorts after trumping and trying to hold a bowel movement in, I have suffered from internal haermirroids for a few years but have never experienced anything like this. I am from the UK but in Denmark on business and am quite concerned. I will visit my doctor on my return. I have just had about 4 pints also.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Since you are a known patient of internal hemorrhoids, it can bleed on holding the stools and cause the blood to appear in the boxer shorts. I would advise you the following: Sitz bath in a tub with warm water. Laxatives to keep the stools soft and easily passable. Do not do any activity which increases the strains on the abdomen or anal sphincter. Take rest for a day if needed. Consult a General Surgeon after returning to home-town so that ano-proctoscopy can give you the most proper diagnosis and continue on an appropriate management which may also be a surgery. Take care.
