What Causes Blood And Mucous Rectal Discharge?

After having a stomach virus - fever aching upset stomach - pain has developed in my rectum and it feels as if my insides are inflammed. There is a bloody mucus discharge rectally when I go to the bathroom. I have been diagnosed before with diverticulosis, but this seems different. I am not sure what is going on.

Rectal Inflammation is possible as a part of systemic manifestation of underlying inflammatory condition. You need diagnosis with colonoscopy for further management guidelines.
