What Causes Blood And Mucus In Stool?

Every time I wipe even if I haven t been to the toilet I see blood. When I have a bowl movement blood drips out. What could this be? I ve been to the doctors before seen a specialist and my result came back fine. No piles etc. My stools are covered in mucus and blood and when I pass wind blood and mucus comes out. The blood is bright red. I m always constipated. I take dtoll softeners everyday for the past year. Any ideas?

I really appreciate your concern, certain conditions are there as long as the blood stain stool are concern like, fissure, hemorrhoids, intestinal infection, ulcerative disease of colon, all these needs to be ruled out in proper way, as you mentioned here that it is not the pile condition then fissure needs to be ruled out till then you can send the stool for laboratory examination, you could even wait for some time condition may be self limiting if it is due to constipation hope this information helps
