What Causes Blood And Mucus In The Stools?

blood in baby stool, abit of bloody mucous around the outside of quite a firm stool today, she had terrible constipation with a big impacted stool 2 days ago which came out on the day after using suppositories. She has also been taking coloxyl drops for 2 days

Some amount of mucus in the stool is normal; however, significant amounts of mucus and mucus accompanied by diarrhea, pain or blood may signify an intestinal condition such as infection or inflammation.
As you said the child was impacted with the stool, it might be due to hard passage of stools which may result in the tearing of the anal opening.
Also some infection in the stomach may cause such type of problem.
See a doctor if the problem persists.
