What Causes Blood And White Cells In Urine?

How do you know if you should go directly to a urologist vs a gyno cologist, if urine test shows, blood in urine, white cells. woman age 88, 5 children. has 6 appointments with gynecologist over next 3 months, and nosr not sure of what is wrong. At what point do you go to a specialist. she has a fibroid leaning on bladder?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
If you have blood and white cells in urine then you may have urinary tract infection. You should consult urologist. There is no role of gynecologist. You should go for ultrasound abdomen to check your kidney, ureter and bladder. Levofloxacin or norfloxacin can be helpful. It is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Fibroid doesn't cause blood or wbc in urine.
