What Causes Blood Blisters On The Body And Mouth While Suffering From Bone Marrow Disorder?
My elderly mother has a bloodbone marrow disorder, I think MSD? She is 81 and has now become very frail. Shes had a cut that wouldn't stop bleeding and now has blood blister patches forming under the skin all over her body and inside her mouth and on her lips. Is her body starting to shut down?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nizar Ali's Response
Hello welcome...MDS.. Let me explain you ...bone marrow is a site for the synthesis of the blood components...red blood cells(carries oxygen)white blood cells(fight infections),and platelet(bleeding regulation) ...so the pt developed bleeding especially in the mucous membranes like in mouth lips and in skin(petechial hemorrhage) anemia and infections like UTIs and pneumonia... The prognosis depends on the cytogenetics(a test of genes)...
Hope you'd understand... Bye Thanks
