What Causes Blood From Mouth When On Blood Thinner?

I woke up with blood stains all over my pillow and a mouthful of blood in my mouth (a good sized clot was behind one of my teeth.) My tongue was coated with it as well so I have to guess I was bleeding through the night. No pain...not coming from my teeth. Am on a blood thinner and have had ulcers in the past - but never anything like this. No cold or sinus 'stuff' going on.

thanks for your query, i have gone through your question, the bleeding from the mouth could be secondary to gum infection..since you are on blood thinner even minor trauma like brushing also causes bleeding fro the inflamed gums...so kindly consult a oral physician and get your teeth and gums examined and you should get your teeth cleaned once and maintain proper oral hygiene...do saline gargling 3-4times daily which has a coagulation action..also get your blood investigations done like complete hemogram and INR...i hope my answer will help you..take care..
