Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello sir, pls help me and my child s problem is stool seen with blood and diagnosed may be due to constipation and straining when he passes his stool and that results in anal tear. my son s age is two years. what will be the reason for this. doctor prescribed laxopeg powder.
Is his stool too hard to cause pain while passing? Too tight stools can cause tear (anal fissure) to cause bleeding. Usually, this is just a streaking rather than frank bleeding, and will be associated with pain. This needs laxatives (like Laxopeg) to loosen the stools. Applying Lignocaine jelly can reduce pain. Kindly follow your doctors instruction. Meanwhile, drink enough fluids and include lot of fibres in diet (vegetables and fruits).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
