What Causes Blood In Bowel Movement?
I am female, age 61, 197 lbs, 4'11". I had a loose bowel movement after dinner a couple of nights ago. When I got up, I noticed what looked like bright red blood in the toilet water. A complete shock! A couple of days later I had a normal bowel movement. The movement was tan but a bit of it was a darker color and could have been reddish. My movements seem okay now.

You might be having hemorrhoids. Get a digital rectal examination done by a qualified surgical specialist. Take lot of fluids. Avoid constipation.
