What Causes Blood In My Urine Despite Taking Ciprofloxacin And Zinnat For UTI?

I have UTI 3 wks ago upon result on urine analysis. Around 20-30 pus cells. Dr give me Zinnat antibiotic 250 mg OD for 3 days.. I think its not working becoz after wks passed i have pain after urination. And yesterday i see already blood wen i urinate. I take my course to self medication. I try Ciprofloxacin. 500 mg BID. But im wondering Dr. Why there is still blood wen im urinating. Is ciprofloxacin not responding also.

Hi. First of all please do not go for self -medication. Repeat the urine analysis, culture and sensitivity test, CBP, bleeding time , clotting time, sugar, urea, creatinine. Sonography of abdomen . An expert guidance by a urologist and further tests will help you to get a cure... Bleeding can be not only due to infection , but also due to local problems in the urinary system , which an Urologist may have to go endoscopies for diagnosis and treatment.
