Blood in stools can be due to several causes. It can be associated with or without pain.
Hemorrhoids
Anal fissure
Chronic constipation
Inflammatory bowel disease-like Crohns disease and Ulcerative coliits
Colonic polyps
Colorectal cancer

What you can try at home is
increase the fluid intake to about 2.5 litres per day
Increase fiber intake in food more veggies and fruits
Eat more of a plant based diet
Cut down dairy and animal protein
reduce sitting for long for long hours .Move around
If these measures dont help
please visit a Gastro enterologist doctor and get a Sigmoidoscopy / Colonoscopy done to rule out any of the above causes
hope this helps
