Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
im having blood in my stool with bowel movements. when i whip its bloody like wipping with my period. i have been drinking the lemonade diet with cayenne pepper and a spicey tea. do you think that the cause? i wasn't having these episodes until after i tried the diet. and what can i do to stop it?
Have you suffering from Constipation, hemorrhoids or fistula?
Probably spicy tea or food may cause irritation of mucosa or hard stools lead to blood in stool. Hemorrhoids or fistula or fissure may also cause blood in stool.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid caffeinated drinks. Use soft diet and avoid gluten diet. If hard stools use lactulose syrup, if symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
