my mother-in-law is 89 yrs. and has blood in her stool. She eats the about the same thing every day, but I don't really like the nurse practicioner (can't spell). Can you tell me some things which might cause blood in her stool. she is very private about her health info.
Hi, Having blood in stool at this age requires evaluation of her case. This can be due to internal hemorrhoid to any space occupying lesion in her GI tract. Consult surgeon and get examined. Ultra sound examination will give good clue regarding her problem. Ok and take care.
