What Causes Blood In Stools?
Hello, * Most common cause of blood in stool is a haemorrhoid, secondly, other intestine issues can be considered. * Primary evaluation with a consultant surgeon by OPD procedure called as proctoscopy examination is a must for haemorrhoid checkup. * Do not neglect as there is no pain, as this may lower your haemoglobin to significant levels. * Later on if required one may have to undergo colonoscopy if there are no haemorrhoids responsible for the blood in the stool. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
