Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 16yo granddaughter is having blood in her stools X 2 weeks. No hemorrhoids, or no past history of any problem. Her Great grandmother has colon cancer, her uncle had a portion of his colon removed, her other great grandmother had colon cancer. The emergency room said it was hemorrhoids. She does not have them. We are trying to have an internist Dr. (Dr Steinle) see her.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern looking to the given history here I could say that you need to get done the stool examination this would rule out the possibility of intestinal infection, another possibility would be fissure and this too be ruled out, in short this case would need many investigation, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
