What Causes Blood In The Saliva After Nose Bleeding?
I had a severe nose bleed about 5 week ago. I went to the hospital and they put a sort of balloon in my nose to make the bleed stop. 2 days later they removed the ballon and since then I dont have blood dripping but I keep having saliva mixed with blood falling on my throat. please let me know is it normal.
Thanks for your query.As per your query you have blood in the saliva after nose bleeding . The most common causes like gum infection causing bleeding,inflamed throat due to throat infection and tonsillitis, sinus infection, upper respiratory tract infection while at times can be due acid reflux or due to lung infection. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan along with physical examination and taking history . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along witrhi anti inflammatory . Also consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and for gum infection Scaling followed by a short course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers and topical gum paint application will relieve.
