What Causes Blood In The Stool?

I'm a 33 year old female who is overall healthy. I don't drink or smoke. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with IBS. I have been able to control it for the most part. However, last weekend when I used the restroom, I had some maroon colored blood in the commode with my stool. I did strain somehwat so I just attributed the blood to that. The next time I went the same thing happened. Then I was fine all week and it happened again today. The only other thing I can relate to both weekends, is I ate pizza. Should I be concerned?
