hi there ive been having an on going urine problem for years and really need help. Whenever i have my urine tested it always had blood in it even when i have no other symptoms. I get symptoms of an uti on and off and have lower back pain. Sometimes i need to urinated all the time and sometimes it can be painful. Whenever i have a drink i dont seem to hold on to it very long and will have to go a few times in the space of a few minutes. Ive had a bladder exam and a scan on my kidneys and nothing. I took 3 months of antibiotics and it made no difference. Its making me so upset because i have to constantly think about weather ive drunk enough because as soon as i dont it gets a lot worst. Please help
As per my surgical experience, the issue does not sound to be related to simple urinary tract infection, which would have been controlled with a number of antibiotics until now.
I suspect, some sort of autoimmune disorder affecting kidney via antibodies formation and affecting the function with resultant blood in the urine.
A thorough systemic work up with urologist with the possible need of CT guided kidney biopsy would prove diagnostic in the majority of the cases.
