What Causes Blood In Urine Bladder Cauterization For Recurring Bladder Infections?
I had my bladder cauterized last week cuz of reoccurring bladder infections. I ve been on macrobid since last Monday and didn t have much pain after going pee at first but now I m having pains and I always feel like I have to pee. It s very uncomfortable. The first day of procedure I had blood in urine but then it went away. Now today I have blood in my urine. Should I be worried? What should I do about it all? The antibiotics don t seem like they are doing any good. Help:(
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern. First of all, cauterisation is not a treatment for recurrent urinary infections, unless, you had a recent bout of fresh bleeding. You should see a different Urologist, along with the urine culture, kidney function tests and the scan reports. Mention age and medications taken. You are welcome to send it to me in my name here, for an expert opinion. Maintain drinking 8-10 glasses liquids daily. Have a speedy recovery.
