What Causes Blood In Urine When Suffering From Kidney Stones?
I was diagnosed 6 months ago with a 6mm kidney stone in my right kidney. Yesterday I had blood in my urine 2x, the pain now has increased and it never lets up just comes in stronger waves. My urine looks clear now but the pain is getting worse, like it may be stuck. I get sick to my stomach and light headed at times. THis happened yesterday and the pain stopped but today it is not letting up. I have no insurance, what should I do?
Dear- thanks for using our system. The most common symptoms when you are passing a kidney stones are pain and blood in the urine. The pain can be severe and radiates from the back to the testicles and it will depend of the size of the stone, you might be able to pass it and have a relieve of the pain. However, if the stone is big, it wont pass and can cause dilatation of the urether or hydronephrosis, which is dangerous and painful. You will need to an urgent care or ER if the pain is severe because you probably have an obstructive kidney stone that will need emergency treatment. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr,Sara
