What Causes Blood In Urine With Hypertension?

Dear Doctor, Thank you. I am a male, 47 years old and I have no sex life with my wife. I just went to the bathroom and uninated and a tiny bit of blood came out at the finish of my urination. There seems to be a small clot of hardened blood and then a tiny bit of blood that passed after it. This is the first time this has happened. I also suffer from hypertension and am on meds to control it but my job still is very stressful and my BP is controlled to about 140/100 which is still not great. Your thoughts please? Christian.

Hi,
Blood in the urine has other important reasons than high bp.
Kidney stone is one very important cause. Get a ultrasound of abdomen to rule out that.
Urinary infection can also cause blood in urine. So get urine routine microscopy done to see that.

Wishing you good health
