What Causes Blood In Urine With Slight Pain On Right Side?
I m 36 and yesterday I had blood in my urine with a slight pain on my right side after I went to the gym. This morning there is still some blood. I did have a UTI a few weeks ago and I had a drink while on medication. I didn t have any effects. I m now in some pain again. Should I go to the ER?
Hello, thanks for posting on HCM. Blood in urine should always be addressed to immediately. As you told you had UTI few weeks back for which you must have taken antibiotics I suppose. Sometimes the antibiotics won’t kill the bacteria as it could be resistant or just not acting on it. So it’s possible that infection still persists or you have some other new problem all together. I would advise you to go to hospital, get a urine routine examination and also a urine culture if routine test shows some bacteria or pus cells. Also get a USG of abdomen to look for whether there is thickening of bladder wall or presence of any kidney stone as these factors can also cause blood in urine. I wish you get treated with the problem soon. If you have any more query kindly write back to me. Thank you
