Hi I had robotic surgery 6 week a go. cancer free.i am 70 in excellent health. am incontinent 8 pad a day dry at night doing kegel they it will get better. but now 6 weeks later when I pee in my pad are brown speck some time a little bigger. some days more then less.but every day now for about a week.talked to the p/a said it is ok how long can this last and is it normal part of healing ??????????????????
The incontinence is a routine occurrence after prostatic surgery. It will take anywhere between 3 months to 1 year to decrease gradually. The brownish flecks maybe some clots that you pass in your urine which is not unusual for up to 3 months after a major procedure in the urinary tract.
I assume you have been operated for prostate cancer and if your biopsy report was fine and PSA levels are normal there is no cause for concern now.
