I'm a 20 yr very fit male and have been diagnosed with mono two months ago. Other than feeling tired every once and awhile i feel fine. Today for the very first time as I went to urinate and the first bit of flow had blood in it but seconds later the urine flow returned to its normal color? What could this mean?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Blood in urine at start of urination indicates a lesion in the urethra. You should have a urinalysis and urethral swap. Depending on the test results, a cystoscopy could be indicated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
